The winner of the PGA Championship earned his first career major win in his first major championship appearance with a White Hot XG Sabertooth Long Putter. He overcame a triple-bogey at the brutal Par-3 15th on Sunday with birdie putts on the difficult 16th and 17th holes. The Odyssey user also converted a tricky 2-putt on the 18th and earned a spot in a two-man, 3-hole aggregate playoff after the tournament leader bogeyed No. 15-17.
The White Hot XG Sabertooth Long user birdied the first playoff hole and sank a tap-in par putt on the third hole to clinch his victory. The PGA Tour rookie also became the first player to win a major with a long putter. He overcame a 5-shot deficit over the final three holes with an eight-foot birdie on 16 and a 40-foot bomb that brought the crowd to its feet on 17. Bob and his team in Carlsbad, Calif., have been busy the last few weeks grinding, shaping and finishing the new prototype wedges to the custom specifications of our Titleist Brand Ambassadors.
